Annette Weisbach is reporting in English and German for CNBC, the leading financial news channel, from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
She is regularly appearing during the morning show Capital Connection, Squawk Box, World Wide Exchanges and during the evening European coverage of CNBC, Closing Bell and Europe Tonight.
Apart from her work with CNBC she is covering all sorts of economic and financial topics for the German public broadcaster Deutsche Welle – the topics are ranging from Deutsche Bank earnings, over unemployed bankers and their future perspectives to the rescue of Opel.
Until autumn 2008 Annette Weisbach was one of the main anchors for Bloomberg TV in London and was hosting all main shows such as the morning, midday and closing show. Afterwards she moved to Frankfurt and was reporting from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and served as the main banking correspondent for Bloomberg TV in Germany. In her role, she was leading interviews with a wide range of decision makers.
As a trained economist and a former investment banker she has a talent to explain difficult financial and economic topics and relationships in an understandable and as well interesting way.
She very much believes that financial markets are a lot more than just numbers.
